I love my granddad. Can't wait to see him again in a few weeks. In the meantime, let's keep our fingers crossed that the "check engine" light on my car doesn't mean I'm going to be marooned in Flagstaff. It came on right after I got back from the Grand Canyon yesterday; how's that for perfect timing? Eh, I needed an oil change anyway. Hopefully this will just mean kind of a late start today and nothing more serious. If all goes according to plan, I'll take off from here mid-afternoon and make it to somewhere near Albuquerque by nightfall-- not that I'm actually all that interested in Albuquerque, but I feel like I need to say I've been, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they manage to cram that long name onto a single postcard.
